We’re educators, long-time collaborators, and friends who believe learning should be personal, connected, and rooted in real life.

We met years ago while working together and quickly realized we shared something rare: a deep passion for supporting learners and a shared value of showing up—with authenticity, empathy, and a sense of humor—for the people around us. Over time, we became those people for one another as our work lives blended into real friendship—we stood beside each other through weddings, growing families, trying to figure out this thing called parenthood and the ever-evolving seasons of life.

As educational therapists, we've each spent years building private practices that support students in growing confidence, skills, and self-awareness. But we both began to imagine something more: a space where learning feels relational, not transactional—a center built around community, collaboration, and care.

Now living in East County with our young families, we’ve created NurturedRoots—a learning collective that reflects what matters most to us: strong relationships, meaningful work, and a healthy balance between our personal and professional lives.

NurturedRoots isn’t just a tutoring center. It’s a space where kids, families, and educators can feel grounded, supported, and seen—for exactly who they are and who they’re becoming.
